A harmonic reducer is a reducer that utilizes the principle of harmonics. Compared with other reducers, it features a compact structure, high reduction ratio, high precision, and low noise. Harmonic reducers are very suitable for the joints of various robots to adjust the movement speed and output torque of the robot arms.
What is a harmonic reducer?
A harmonic reducer is a reducer that utilizes the harmonic principle. Compared with other reducers, it features a compact structure, a large reduction ratio, high precision, and low noise. Harmonic reducers are ideal for the joints of various robots to adjust the movement speed and output torque of each robot arm.
High load-bearing capacity: In harmonic transmission, the meshing of teeth is point contact, and the number of simultaneously meshing teeth (overlap coefficient) is relatively large, so the unit area load is small, and the load-bearing capacity is higher than other transmission methods.
Large transmission ratio: The transmission ratio of a single-stage harmonic gear transmission can reach i=70~500.
Small size and light weight.
High transmission efficiency and long life.
Stable transmission, no impact, no noise, and high motion precision.
Harmonic reducers are commonly used in robotics, machine tools, aerospace, etc. The precision, rigidity, and load-bearing capacity of harmonic reducers are very high, so the processing accuracy and installation accuracy of each component inside the harmonic reducer are very high, and the requirements for bearings are also very high. For rigid bearings, the rigidity, reliability, and rotational accuracy of the bearings are important. Rigid bearings are pre-stressed at the factory to ensure sufficient rigidity; for flexible bearings, the main concern is the large radial deformation.
Harmonic reducer bearings include two major types: rigid bearings and flexible bearings. Rigid bearings include four series: CSG (CSF) series, SHG (SHF) series, CSD series, SHD series, named after the reducer; flexible bearings are named HYR.
