Summary
From September 27 to October 1, 2026, IROS 2026, the International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems, was held in Pittsburgh, USA. As a top global academic and industrial event for robotics, it brought together leading research teams, humanoid robot OEMs and core component suppliers.
Crabnova Intelligent made a remarkable debut with its self-developed integrated harmonic joint modules. Centered on the goals of showcasing domestic harmonic joint technology, connecting global industrial resources and building brand awareness overseas, the company presented three flagship product lines: Lite, RBV3 and RMV3, demonstrating its full-stack independent R&D and mass-production capabilities for core drive components of humanoid robots.
During the exhibition, the team conducted static physical displays, dynamic force control video demonstrations and one-on-one technical discussions, presenting the products’ core strengths of high torque density, lightweight design, high-precision force control and low-cost mass manufacturing to overseas research communities, robot manufacturers and industrial chain partners.
PART 01
Communicating with Global Peers Through Joint Technology

Crabnova Intelligent accelerated its industrialization pace in 2026: it launched a complete robotic module and robot solution at WAIC in July, and released three harmonic joint series — the lightweight Lite, high-performance RBV3 and industrial RMV3 — at WRC in August. The participation in IROS represents a major global rollout of this industrial momentum to the international academic and industrial communities. The three key exhibits are highlighted as follows:
Lite Lightweight Harmonic Joint Module Series — consisting of three models R48-lite, R58-lite and R68-lite. This series achieves a price point at the hundred-yuan level, with diameters ranging from 48 mm to 68 mm and body lengths from 45.5 mm to 73.3 mm. Its rated torque covers 5 Nm to 33 Nm. All models are equipped with a 23-bit dual encoder, suitable for multiple joint positions including head, wrist, elbow and shoulder.
RBV3 High-Performance Harmonic Joint Module Series — each model integrates a torque sensor and brake. Covering seven variants from R48 to R120MAX, the series features diameters of 48 mm to 120 mm, weights from 0.27 kg to 4.5 kg, and rated torque of 6.5 Nm to 300 Nm. It fits all joint positions of robots, enabling precise force control and safe emergency stop.
RMV3 Industrial Harmonic Joint Module Series — adopting an ultra-short body and large hollow bore design, with diameters ranging from 52 mm to 170 mm. Taking the R70 model as an example, its body length is only 58.5 mm with a hollow bore of 18 mm. The compact and lightweight design maximizes the utilization of internal space inside robots.
7-DOF Force-Controlled Robotic Arm — the on-site video intuitively demonstrated its drag teaching and joint impedance functions. Developed with ergonomic and biomechanical principles, it replicates the motion characteristics of the human upper limb through degree-of-freedom configuration, joint layout and force feedback. Its modular architecture and open software & hardware interfaces provide a robust and flexible mechanical foundation for humanoid robot systems in diverse scenarios.
PART 02
The Second Half of Embodied Intelligence: From Motion Capability to Practical Usability

The agenda of IROS 2026 sends a clear signal: embodied intelligence is shifting from demo showcases to real-world deployment. Joint service life, force control accuracy, module maintainability and overall bill-of-material cost are replacing the sheer number of degrees of freedom as core metrics for technical value. Crabnova Intelligent’s product philosophy aligns closely with this trend. The modular design supports rapid integration and secondary development. Each integrated joint integrates the driver, reducer, encoder, force control unit and brake into a ready-to-assemble unit, lowering the development threshold for humanoid robot manufacturers.
Beyond product displays, Crabnova Intelligent’s IROS participation demonstrates a proven development path: building on precision manufacturing of core components and leveraging modular design and an open ecosystem to engage in the global industrial division of embodied intelligence. From its R&D base in Wuxi to the exhibition booth in Pittsburgh, from micron-level precision of harmonic gear profiles to full-body motion of humanoid robots, Crabnova Intelligent is leveraging joint technology to unlock greater possibilities.
